CASE NUMBER 2000-10184
Three years ago, my husband and I separated and later divorced. At that time, we owned 3 cats. He couldn't take any of them since he had signed a lease on a no-pets building, I therefore took all three, paying a full month's rent in addition to the usual deposit, and undertaking all other costs associated with their care. Now one of the cats has a urinary tract disorder which has cost several hundred dollars to diagnose and treat. I think my ex-husband should pay half. We got this animal while we were married and at the time both assumed responsibility for its care. Our marital situation has changed, but the cat remains, and is still our joint responsibility.

The defendant ruined the most special day of my life. I chartered the defendant's boat for my wedding and reception. After the wedding, the DJ started a conga line which he led around the boat. As we snaked toward the back of the boat, I tripped over a raised threshhold and fractured by ankle. I want the defendant to pay my medical bills and the cost of my wedding and honeymoon.

My house is located behind the defendant's house. Our shared driveway is only 10 feet wide. Defendant parks his car on the driveway, making it very difficult for me to get to and from my house. He refuses to stop parking on the driveway. The stress of this has caused me emotional distress and has made my heart condition worse. I want the iCourthouse jurors to rule that the defendant cannot park on the driveway, and to award me $50,000 for my physical damages.

I quit smoking about a year and 9 months ago, but remain addicted to nicotine. I think about cigarettes all of the time, and even dream about them. I need to spend $30 every two weeks for nicotine gum to keep from smoking. The cigarette companies deliberately manipulated the nicotine in tobacco to create and enhance addiction. This is fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress. I want them to pay for the gum I need for as long as I need it.

My neighbor and I have a dispute about a corner of her property. She used to own both properties, which border each other. When she sold me and my husband our house she told us the property line ran along the pine trees. My 5 year old daughter buried her guinea pig near one of the pine trees. Now the neighbor says the property line is 5 feet below the trees, and that the guinea pig is polluting her property. I want to be able to leave the poor remains where they are, and have her pay for a survey.

My employer is the most loathsome, despicable miser that ever lived. He rations the coal for the stove like it was gold, ignores every charity, and even throws stones at carollers. When I asked for Christmas Day off, he mumbled "Humbug", and raged about having his pocket picked every 25th of December. I can't afford to lose this job because of my son's medical bills. I need to spend time with my family. All I ask for is for my employer to accept the standard Federal holiday schedule.
