CASE NUMBER 2001-10623
I won a dreamcast system for $27 on auctionus.com and the seller insisted on cash only because he didn't have time to deal with cashing checks or money orders. I questioned his honesty and he said I could only send half and that way he would also have to trust me. I felt comfortable enough to send it all. This was on 8/l/01. He still claims he did not receive the money and I never received my dreamcast system.

I was a member of AOL and canceled. A month later AOL sent me a letter for a free month of AOL. On or about 5/26/01 I went online to AOL and signed up for my free month. The webpage said that I would have to call AOL to verify my info because I paid with online check. My old AOL billing date was the 29th of each month. AOL'S webpage imformed me that my billing date would be the same day as before[the 29th]. Therefore I did not call AOL untill the 30th to restore my ISP service. This way I thought my free month or 700 hrs would run from 5/30/01 to 6/29/01. AOL billed me for the 26th,27th,and the 28th. AOL stated my renewal was on the day I signed up on webpage. But I was denied access to AOL until I phoned them to verify my account. I am asking for return of 21.95 plus 4.95 the cost of one months service I did not receive.

My friend and I worked for ASDF Marketing Research in a mall. We were not paid for 29 hours worked and not paid for surveys we did. We were told by a manager that we would be compensated for surveys we did. Then we were told by a different manager that was a lie and he needed workers at the time.
