CASE NUMBER 2002-10711
A patient under a hospital nurse’s care has been recently diagnosed with unstable epilepsy. He has told the nursing staff that he does not want his family told of his diagnosis. He also has told his doctor that he does not wish to take any prescribed medication, which could stabilise his condition, as he does not like to take drugs of any kind. On the morning he was to be discharged he had a major seizure when nursing his baby son. The boy sustained major brain injuries as a result of being dropped by his father during the seizure. Additionally, the father sustained several fractures during the seizure. Discuss the legal and ethical issues that are raised in the scenario should the patient or any other person choose to seek legal redress.

This case is about ongoing attempts to "hang out" or go see a movie. On numerous occasions we have had plans to go out whether it be a movie, shopping, or swimming all of these events have been cancelled by the defendant. I am suing for a Friday or Saturday night or day out to complete these prior obligations.

I worked in a poultry processing plant for 5 years. Due to the cold environment I developed osteo-arthritis in my hands. Because this condition affected my production level (i.e could not cut 10lbs of chicken in 2 minutes as required) they fired me. Now, because my hands are bad, I find it is affecting any other job I try to do. I would like a $1,000,000 settlement plus any medical that is connected to this.
