CASE NUMBER 2005-11264
I rented a apartment and payed a full year's rent. After a month of moving in, I discovered a nest of termites inside a faulty wooden plank. I also leaned into a wall, and it broke down. The landlord refused to pay for the remodeling or the extermination. I wish to move out of the apartment and regain my year's rent. However the landlord won't let me.

My dental braces were removed this past Thursday after having dental work done on my teeth for the past two years. However, when my orthodontist removed my molar caps(the metal rings that are glued to the back molars to hold the wires in place), I discovered a cavity on one molar that was not there before the orthodontic procedure. Had the orthodontist been thorough in the monthly checkups, he would have discovered that a cavity was growing beneath my molar cap. I now have a large cavity on my bottom left molar, and am suing for damage and dental bills.

CASE SUMMARY: About a year ago, there was a large storm in the area and the fence dividing my back yard from the defendant's back yard fell over. It did not splinter into several different pieces, but instead fell over in one large chunk. I had planned to use the wood and repair it, but my neighbors, the defendants, got there first and took all the wood. Now, I want to build a new fence and are asking them to pay for half of the bill. They refused.

During a drive on an icy road one day, my cars breaks gave out and I crashed into a tree causing some damage to my back and left leg. I had just had my car checked by my local auto shop and the had inspected the breaks and said that they were fine. After the accident, the auto shop said my breaks were really faulty and had needed to be replaced a while ago. I am suing the auto company for damages caused by the accident to myself and my car because they should have replaced the breaks when they did a check up on my car.

I used to live in a corner house that was precariously set between a residential road and a main street. One night, there was a police chase near my house. Unfortunately, the police chase went awry and the car being pursued crashed into and destroyed one part of my house when attempting to take a turn onto the residential street. The police department admitted that the accident could have been avoidable, so we are pursuing a lawsuit, sueing for the amount in property damage.

CASE NUMBER 2005-11250
I work at a liquor store, normally from 10 in the morning till noon, since i have to go to college after that. But this one day my boss asked me to work a night shift, so I came in at 8 pm, when it was already dark. What my boss didn't tell me was that the cameras did not work any more, nor did the alarm below the counter to alert the police work. While i was working my first night shift, a caucasian man with a ski mask came in at about 10pm and pointed a gun at me, and ordered the cash. I quickly hit the alarm under the counter with my knee, expecting the cops to come any minute. The robber shoots me in the right shoulder, and i fall to the floor. The robber runs out of the store with all the money and some candy. I am suing my boss for negligence, for simply not warning me that the cameras and alert system didn't work.
